Next, check near the indoor unit for a float switch in drain and if you have one lift it to see if we get power to thermostat. I have been trying to figure out how to have the humidifier on in manual or fan only mode. I can get it to turn on in the cool and heat profiles but cant get it to come on when I just want the fan on without heat or cool. The reason I want this is because I dont need heat ... The primary cause has been corrected; but additional analysis is in progress to ensure this will not happen in the future. I have looked at … read moreOld Post, but here is an update - Carrier has release a new firmware 4.23, and they have updated the Home app (at least in Android) and this seems to have resolved the connectivity issue. I can now get a live connection to the thermostat, and changes made on the app reflect on the thermostat almost immediately. Vast improvement. 1.Have a fire extinguisher available. I have the fancy carrier infinity thermostat. It is not worth it. I hate the controls, or lack of controls really. The ability to use a variable fan speed is a lie. The system determines fan speed and mine has never been adjustable. You can set 4 temperatures. My outside unit is the 24ANA7 and the furnace is the 58CVA110. I have the old SYSTXCCUID01-B communicating thermostat.A few minutes later the system shut down again and again restarted. This happened a total of three times in one hour. I finally went to bed and it seemed to run ok during the night.
